Discovery Bay Community Meeting

April 24, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm

A big thank you to all who came to talk about Discovery Bay and Envision Contra Costa 2040! We had a small but insightful group. Residents said they love the water recreation opportunities and the feeling of being surrounded by agricultural lands. Among other topics, key issues that were discussed include:

• Emergency access and disaster preparedness.
• Lack of local job opportunities.
• Vacant properties.
• Slifer Park maintenance and lack of bathrooms.
• Need for a high school and safe routes to existing schools.
• Better access to nearby regional parklands.
