Kensington and East Richmond Heights Community Meeting

May 1st, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm

Thank you everyone from the Kensington and East Richmond Heights communities who attended the community meeting at Kensington Library on May 1st. About 20 people were there, offering great insights and perspectives about the assets and challenges in their communities. The discussions at each table were constructive, generating many great ideas to inform Envision Contra Costa 2040! Priorities and concerns identified for the Kensington and East Richmond Heights neighborhoods included:

  • Retention of small-town, friendly community atmospheres
  • Excellent parks, open spaces, and trails
  • View preservation
  • Wildfire hazards and emergency evacuation
  • Lack of access to hospitals and emergency services
  • Undergrounding utilities
  • Pedestrian and roadway infrastructure improvements
  • Parking and traffic issues
  • Street light improvements in East Richmond Heights
  • Cellular coverage

We encourage everyone to visit the website to learn about more outreach opportunities to come.
